He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.
As this scripture came to mind today, I began to think of the many ways we see the love of God, not only in nature, but in His love for man.
I watch nature movies, and see the polar bear, as she cuddles her offspring, the river otter as she floats down the stream on her back with her offspring sleeping safely on one her stomach. The birds that go to whatever it takes to protect their young from harm.
I read of certain trees that will extend their roots to another tree that is weak, to give it nourishment to help it grow.
I look at the little flowers that line our yard, as they close up in the evening protecting themselves against any night predator. Their tiny petals looking like a weed, until the sun shines on them in the morning, and they open up in praise to the creator.
I then look toward the cross, where my Savior took His last breath as a human, to give me eternal life, if I believe that He died on that cross for my sins.
I now say with certainty that GOD IS LOVE.
