Romans 5:8

But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

I clenched my hands, the old man said

And watched the angry mob

As he stood in center ring

For they crucified his King.

His feeble heart was beating fast

As they nailed Him to the tree

What have they done he cried, He’s done nothing cruel to me

He cried in bitter agony and pain

He clenched his fist and stood there

Afraid to turn, afraid to run

For the angry thing they did was done.

Oh God, He cried, don’t let this be

Don’t let Him know I helped choose the tree

Each day I live, please let me cling

To the promise made by a crucified King.

I love you!!!
